His wing-back role provides attacking upside without requiring Leeds to keep a clean sheet.

2. Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Calvert-Lewin remains the central striker and scored against Newcastle.
At £6.0m, he competes directly with the mid-priced forward group rather than premium forwards.
Verdict: strong HOLD / BUY.
3. Noah Okafor
Okafor started against Newcastle and scored.
His low ownership and sub-£6.0m price make him interesting for managers seeking a differential.
Risk: expected minutes.
4. Anton Stach
Stach remains one of Leeds' safer midfield starters.
His FPL appeal is more about role, minutes and all-round involvement than explosive attacking returns.

Palace at home
GW5 is a good spot for Bogle and Calvert-Lewin. It is less convincing as a reason to triple up because Arsenal away follows immediately.

A practical decision framework
Use the strategy only when it solves a real squad problem. The easiest way to avoid chasing last week's points is to ask these questions in order:
- Availability: are any starters injured, suspended or clearly losing minutes?
- Captaincy: does the move improve access to a premium captain you genuinely want?
- Structure: does it leave a balanced starting XI and playable bench?
- Timing: are there midweek matches or press conferences that could change the decision?
- Opportunity cost: what are you giving up by making the move now?
Common mistake to avoid
Do not activate a chip or spend transfers simply because a popular player returned last week. The decision should still make sense across several Gameweeks.
A good FPL move normally improves at least two of role, fixtures, captaincy, price efficiency or squad flexibility. If it only improves one and weakens the others, waiting is often better.
Before the deadline
Recheck injuries, suspensions, expected starters and any midweek minutes. This is particularly important in European or domestic-cup weeks, when a player can move from a strong buy to a rotation risk in one match.
