In Fantasy Premier League a goal is worth 4 points to a forward, 5 to a midfielder, 6 to a defender and 10 to a goalkeeper, and an assist is worth 3 to everyone. Below is the complete scoring table, including the defensive contribution points added in 2025/26 and every deduction.

| Bonus (top 3 by BPS in a match) | 1-3 | 1-3 | 1-3 | 1-3 |
A dash means the action cannot score for that position - goalkeepers earn no defensive contribution points, and only goalkeepers and defenders are penalised for goals conceded.
The three best performers in each match earn 3, 2 and 1 extra points, ranked by the Bonus Points System (BPS) - a behind-the-scenes tally built from goals, assists, saves, tackles, passes and more. BPS is not your FPL score and is never shown as points; it only decides who gets the bonus. OneFPL computes provisional bonus from the moment a match kicks off, so the live table shows where the bonus is heading before FPL confirms it.
Added in 2025/26, defensive contributions give 2 points to a defender reaching 10 combined clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles, or to a midfielder or forward reaching 12 - with ball recoveries counting for them too. It has changed which cheap midfielders are worth owning: read how DefCon points work for the thresholds in detail.

A goal is worth 4 points for a forward, 5 for a midfielder, 6 for a defender and 10 for a goalkeeper. The lower a player's position, the more a goal is worth, because it is less likely - which is why a defender scoring is one of the biggest single swings in a gameweek.
An assist is worth 3 points for every position - goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward alike. Unlike goals and clean sheets, assist scoring does not vary by position.
A clean sheet is worth 4 points for a goalkeeper, 4 for a defender and 1 for a midfielder. Forwards get 0. A player must play at least 60 minutes to be awarded a clean sheet, and any goal conceded while they are on the pitch cancels it.
Defenders reaching 10 combined clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles in a match earn 2 points. Midfielders and forwards need 12, and ball recoveries count towards their total as well. Goalkeepers cannot earn defensive contribution points at all.
The three top performers in each match receive 3, 2 and 1 bonus points, decided by the Bonus Points System (BPS) - a separate behind-the-scenes score built from goals, assists, saves, tackles, passes and other match actions. BPS is not the same as your FPL points, and ties are possible: two players level on BPS for first place both receive 3 bonus.
Each transfer beyond your available free transfers costs 4 points, deducted from that gameweek's score. The deduction is often written as a "-4" or "a hit". Playing a Wildcard or Free Hit makes all transfers in that gameweek free.
Yes. A player who appears at all earns 1 point, and 2 points for playing 60 minutes or more. A player who does not appear scores 0.
