GW4 Free Hit

The argument for GW4 is fixture concentration:
- Liverpool host Fulham,
- Chelsea host Hull,
- Palace host Ipswich,
- Arsenal visit Sunderland.
The argument against is opportunity cost.
If your normal team already has several of those players, Free Hit may create only a small upgrade.
Why waiting can be better
Free Hit becomes especially valuable when a future Gameweek has:
- many blank teams,
- a double Gameweek,
- unusual fixture concentration,
- a squad problem that cannot be fixed efficiently with free transfers.
Those conditions often appear later after domestic and European cup scheduling develops.
Free Hit vs Wildcard
Wildcard permanently changes your squad.
Free Hit changes it for one Gameweek only.
Use Free Hit when the problem is temporary.
Use Wildcard when the underlying squad needs rebuilding.

Managers can bank up to five free transfers.
That creates another alternative to using a chip.

- number of strong fixtures,
- how different the ideal XI is from a normal squad,
- blank/double structure,
- captaincy ceiling,
- whether free transfers can solve the same problem,

Do not burn the Free Hit simply because one Gameweek looks attractive. Use it when the gap between your normal XI and the ideal one-week XI becomes unusually large.
