The biggest information is not the score: Yoane Wissa started, Fernandez-Pardo began on the bench, Jacob Ramsey scored as a substitute and Lewis Hall retained attacking involvement.

1. Lewis Hall
Hall remains the Newcastle defender we prefer.
Even without a GW3 clean sheet, his ability to contribute higher up the pitch gives him more than one route to points.
Newcastle's defence has not been secure enough to buy a defender for clean sheets alone, so that extra upside matters.

2. Yoane Wissa
The fear after Deadline Day was that Fernandez-Pardo could immediately take Wissa's place.
GW3 did not support that fear: Wissa started and the newcomer began on the bench.
Wissa blanked, but owners now have better reason to hold while monitoring exactly where the two players fit together.
3. Anthony Elanga
Elanga remains one of Newcastle's more direct attacking threats.
His appeal depends on minutes, price and whether his role consistently places him close enough to goal to compete with other midfield options.
4. Jacob Ramsey
Ramsey scored the late equaliser from the bench.
That raises his stock but also creates a classic FPL trap: a substitute goal is not the same thing as secure starts.

5. Amar Dedić
Dedić remains an alternative defensive route.
He becomes more attractive if his attacking role is reliable, but Hall currently has the stronger all-round FPL case.
6. Fernandez-Pardo
The £6.0m forward entered GW3 from the bench rather than starting.
There is no reason to rush. Wait until his role, position and expected minutes are clearer.
Newcastle's clean-sheet problem
Bournemouth scored twice, so Newcastle defenders still cannot be treated as simple clean-sheet buys.
