How the draft works
Managers take turns selecting players.
When a player is selected, no other manager in that league can draft him.
The league administrator chooses how the first draft order is decided. The order can be random or use an available league setting based on the previous campaign.
The official process uses a snake draft.
Snake-draft example
In an eight-manager league:
Round 1 runs from Pick 1 to Pick 8
Round 2 runs from Pick 8 back to Pick 1
Round 3 returns from Pick 1 to Pick 8
This balances the advantage of receiving the first pick.

The central restriction is uniqueness: a player can only belong to one team in your league.

Building a draft watchlist
A watchlist is essential.
The draft clock can move quickly, and your preferred player may be selected immediately before your turn.

What are waivers?
A waiver request allows you to exchange one player in your squad for an available player in the same position.
Waivers are processed before the Gameweek deadline.
Official guidance states that requests are processed 24 hours before the Gameweek deadline.
You can submit multiple waiver requests and place them in priority order.
How waiver priority works
The lowest-ranked manager receives priority during the weekly process.
Before the first Gameweek, the waiver order is the reverse of the draft order.
A manager whose waiver succeeds moves to the end of the queue for that processing period.

The system first attempts X. When another manager with better priority receives X, it moves to Y.
What is a free agent?
A free agent is an unowned player who is available outside the waiver process.
Free Agency opens after waivers are processed and normally closes at the Gameweek deadline.
A new Premier League signing or a player released by another manager does not always become an instant free agent. He may first need to pass through waivers.
