Final GW6 checklist — updated 9 October 2026. Deadline: 11:00 BST, Saturday 10 October.
The biggest mistake now is not choosing the wrong differential. It is missing information that is already available.
1. Remove confirmed non-starters from your XI
Confirmed out include Gakpo, Isak, Tzolis, Šeško, Dorgu, Porro, Mateta, Henderson, Igor Jesus and Milenkovic.
That does not mean every owner must sell.
It means they should not be accidentally left in the starting XI.
2. Reassess players who are now fit
Palmer and João Pedro are available.
Haaland is fit.
Kostoulas is fine.
Do not let an old yellow flag override new information.

3. Decide captaincy
Main decision:
Saka vs Haaland
Saka:
- Leeds at home;
- six big chances;
- 12 box shots.
Haaland:
- nine big chances;
- 19 box shots;
- Liverpool away.
Bruno and a fit Palmer remain alternatives.
4. Check your Wildcard structure
Do not overstack one risk: too many Brighton rotation candidates, too many late-test players or too many cheap forwards with uncertain starts.
5. Fix bench order
First substitute should prioritise 90-minute probability, fixture and a usable DefCon/attacking floor.
6. Recheck Chelsea
Palmer and João Pedro are fit.
7. Recheck Liverpool
Gakpo and Isak are out.
8. Recheck Arsenal
Tzolis out. Havertz/Konsa late tests. Saka still core.
9. Do not chase today's price changes
There were no rises overnight on 9 October.
Football information is worth more than speculative team value now.
10. Use chips only if the team needs them
Wildcard because structure needs a reset.
Bench Boost because you genuinely have 15 strong starters.
11. Second Chance League
Everyone starts from zero from GW6.
The best strategy is still the strongest expected-points team, not the most different team.
12. Save the team
Captain. Vice. Bench. Transfers. Chip. Confirm.
OneFPL final call
If you remember four things:
Palmer/João Pedro fit. Gakpo/Isak out. Haaland fit. Saka is a serious captain.
Then stop tinkering once your team reflects the latest information.
