The biggest FPL stories
João Pedro
Five goals put him joint-top of the scoring list. At £7.5m, his case combines form with proven Premier League output.
Brian Madjo
Madjo's five goals are eye-catching at £5.5m. His Gameweek 1 status still needs the latest injury and team-news check, so do not pick him on the goal total alone.
Antoine Semenyo
Five assists in only three pre-season matches is exceptional creative output. The bigger question is where Enzo Maresca uses him once City's full attack is available.
Christos Tzolis
Four assists plus a goal have made the Arsenal signing one of the strongest creators of pre-season. His £6.5m price is attractive if the left-wing role is secure.
Igor Jesus
Four goals keep him near the top of the £6.0m forward conversation. Forest's striker competition remains the major concern.
How to use pre-season minutes
A player becomes more trustworthy when he starts the final one or two friendlies, plays 60-75+ minutes, keeps the same tactical position and plays alongside the likely first XI.
