Ipswich 0-2 Liverpool: FPL Points & Lessons — Isak Brace, Gakpo Assists

Alexander Isak delivered the headline FPL return of the Gameweek 3 opener, scoring twice inside the first nine minutes as Liverpool won 2-0 at Ipswich.

Cody Gakpo assisted both goals, while Liverpool also recorded their first Premier League clean sheet under Andoni Iraola.

The short answer

Isak is the major positive. Gakpo's creative role is strengthening. Liverpool defenders finally have clean-sheet evidence, but one shutout is not enough to erase the concerns from the opening two Gameweeks.

Isak gives managers the evidence they wanted

Isak did not need volume to punish Ipswich. Two early finishes settled the match and reinforced why he remains one of the premium forwards worth finding money for.

The important signal is not simply the brace. He remains Liverpool's central goal threat and is getting high-value opportunities.

Liverpool defence: upgrade, but not an automatic buy
