The short answer
Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed Jérémy Doku will miss Sunday's match against Bournemouth after suffering a calf injury against Arsenal.
Maresca also confirmed Matheus Nunes is fit again, while the rest of the squad is available.
| Player | GW1 status |
|---|---|
| Jérémy Doku | OUT |
| Matheus Nunes | FIT |
| Rest of Man City squad | Available, per Maresca |
Who benefits?
Doku's absence removes one winger from City's selection pool, but the exact beneficiary is not certain because City's transfer situation remains fluid.
Savinho wants to leave, according to Maresca, and Tottenham are reported to have agreed a deal for the Brazilian. That means City's wide hierarchy could change again before GW2.

Haaland remains the safest City asset
Doku's injury does not affect Erling Haaland's starting role or central position. The uncertainty around City's wingers actually reinforces Haaland as the simplest way to own the attack.
What about Foden?
A missing winger can create more minutes for Phil Foden or another attacker, but do not assume the replacement before Maresca shows the competitive XI.
Return date
Maresca confirmed Doku's Bournemouth absence but did not give a precise return date in the Reuters report. OneFPL should therefore avoid inventing a two- or three-week timeline.
OneFPL verdict
Haaland stays safe; City midfielders become watchlist plays until the first lineup shows who inherits the minutes.
