Latest Confirmed Premier League Transfers: FPL Roundup for 23 July 2026
The latest confirmed transfer batch includes major changes at Chelsea, Aston Villa, Ipswich, Leeds and Coventry. Here are the players FPL managers should track.
Premier League clubs have continued reshaping their squads after the World Cup, with several transfers directly affecting Fantasy Premier League roles and prices.
This roundup covers only confirmed moves. It does not include unconfirmed reports about Crysencio Summerville, Alex Scott, Ousmane Diomande or any other player until an official announcement is available. All prices below were checked against the official FPL data on 23 July 2026.
Morgan Rogers to Chelsea
Rogers has completed a record British transfer from Aston Villa to Chelsea.
He costs £7.5m in FPL and remains a midfielder. His expected left-sided inside-forward role and combination with Cole Palmer make him one of the strongest mid-priced players to monitor. Read our full Morgan Rogers FPL analysis.
FPL action: Add to watchlist and track pre-season starts.
Alejandro Garnacho to Aston Villa
Garnacho has joined Villa on a season-long loan from Chelsea with a conditional obligation to buy.
His £6.0m midfielder price can become attractive if he secures the left-wing role. In the FPL data his entry still shows Chelsea because the loan has not yet been applied, so expect his club to update. Our Garnacho FPL breakdown covers his role.
FPL action: Monitor role and average minutes.
Johan Manzambi to Aston Villa
Villa have added the young Swiss creative midfielder from Freiburg.
He is already listed at £6.0m as a midfielder and can help replace creativity lost through the departures of Rogers and Tielemans. See our Manzambi scout report
FPL action: Watch for his role and set-piece involvement in pre-season.
Joao Gomes to Aston Villa
Gomes joins from Wolves to strengthen Villa's midfield and is priced at £5.5m.
He produced useful defensive contribution returns at Wolves, although moving into a higher-possession team may reduce the number of defensive actions available. Our Joao Gomes DefCon analysis explains the risk.
FPL action: Consider only if starts are secure and you need a cheap fifth midfielder.
Abdul Fatawu to Ipswich Town
Ipswich have signed Fatawu from Leicester City. He is priced at £5.5m as a midfielder.
He brings direct dribbling, shooting and Championship experience to a promoted attack. His ability to win a regular wide role could make him one of Ipswich's more interesting budget options.
FPL action: Compare his price with other promoted midfielders and track penalties and set pieces.
Tarik Muharemovic to Leeds United
Leeds have confirmed the signing of the centre-back from Sassuolo.
He had not yet been added to the official FPL data when this page was checked, so his FPL price is pending. Once he appears in the game, assess whether he offers set-piece threat or strong defensive-contribution numbers, because a promoted centre-back needs more than basic clean-sheet potential to stand out.
FPL action: Watchlist until his FPL price and starting role are confirmed.
Aurele Amenda to Coventry City
Coventry have strengthened their defence with Amenda from Eintracht Frankfurt. He is priced at £4.0m as a defender.
A starting centre-back for a promoted side can collect defensive contribution points even without many clean sheets, and £4.0m is a useful enabler price.
FPL action: Consider as a bench defender if he starts regularly.
Thomas Meunier to Sunderland
Meunier joins Sunderland and is priced at £4.5m as a defender.
Age and competition may affect minutes, but his history of playing high on the right creates possible attacking routes.
FPL action: Monitor whether he starts as a full-back or wing-back.
Leandro Trossard leaves Arsenal
Trossard has left Arsenal and no longer appears in the FPL player pool, with reports linking him to Besiktas.
His departure removes one competitor for Arsenal's left-sided attacking minutes. It may benefit Gabriel Martinelli, Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke or another player depending on pre-season tactics.
FPL action: Reassess Arsenal's wide rotation after the next friendlies.
What FPL managers should do
Do not buy a new signing only because the transfer is exciting.
