The short answer
Arsenal have officially signed Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa on a long-term contract. In Fantasy Premier League, Konsa remains £4.5m after the move.
That price makes him one of the cheapest routes into Arsenal's defence, but official FPL says he is not expected to be available against Coventry in Gameweek 1 because the transfer is still subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
| FPL factor | Current status |
|---|---|
| Club | Arsenal |
| Position | Defender |
| Price | £4.5m |
| GW1 | Not expected to be available |
| Possible roles | Centre-back / right-back |
| Opportunity | Saliba and Timber are injured |
| Risk | No Arsenal pre-season minutes |
Why £4.5m matters
A £4.5m regular starter in Arsenal's defence could become one of the season's strongest points-per-million defenders. Konsa also brings extensive Premier League experience after six seasons at Aston Villa.
Arsenal are without William Saliba for an extended period and Jurrien Timber has been dealing with a groin problem, giving Konsa a plausible route at centre-back or right-back.

What about Gameweek 2?
Official FPL says Konsa should be available to face former club Aston Villa in GW2, but warns that his lack of Arsenal pre-season minutes still makes his immediate starting role uncertain.
The best process is to watch Arsenal's GW1 defensive shape, then reassess Saliba and Timber's timelines before buying.

Four Arsenal players
Some managers now own four Arsenal players because they bought Konsa while he was still registered as an Aston Villa player. Official FPL says those managers can temporarily keep all four, but their next transfer out must be an Arsenal player.

OneFPL verdict
Konsa is an excellent £4.5m watchlist option, but not a GW1 asset. The value is clear; the starting role still needs evidence.
