Two chips across the season, one in each half
In 2026/27 every manager receives a Triple Captain in the first half and another in the second. The first-half chip cannot be saved beyond the GW19 deadline on 2 January 2027. This changes the traditional temptation to keep the chip indefinitely for a future Double Gameweek.

What Triple Captain really adds
The chip changes your selected captain’s multiplier from two to three. The incremental benefit over a normal captain is one extra copy of that player’s Gameweek score. Selecting a dependable high-ceiling player matters; a huge number of possible goals is not useful if he does not play.
