Fantasy Premier League now offers an assisted squad-selection process on the website.
It is designed to help new or returning managers create a reasonable first draft without choosing all 15 players from a blank screen.
Experienced managers can skip the process and build normally.
How the assisted squad builder works
When a manager opens squad selection, the website asks whether help is needed.
Selecting the assisted route leads to three main questions.
1. Do you want players from your favourite club?
Managers who selected a favourite Premier League club can ask the generator to include players from that team.
This personalises the squad, but it may not produce the strongest value. Club loyalty and fantasy strategy do not always point to the same players.
2. Do you want a strong 15-player squad or a cheaper bench?
This choice determines how much money is kept among substitutes.
A strong squad provides better injury cover and rotation options. A cheap bench allows more money to be concentrated in the starting eleven.
Neither approach is automatically correct. The best choice depends on how secure your starters are and whether you plan to rotate players.
3. How should the budget be divided?
Managers can express a preference for spending more in attack or defence.
This helps the generator create a structure closer to the user's style.
