1. Igor Thiago — the clearest buy-low signal
Thiago has zero league goals despite accumulating roughly 2.15 xG across the opening three matches.
That is a large gap.
It does not guarantee regression in the next match, but it tells us he has been reaching scoring positions much more often than the FPL points suggest.
What to check before buying:
- starting role,
- shot locations,
- penalty role,
- next three fixtures,
- whether another forward offers similar chances with better minutes.

2. Florian Wirtz — more interesting than the points suggest
Wirtz has started all three opening league matches and has one assist but no goal.
Current public underlying data puts him around 0.67 xG + 0.29 xA from 242 minutes.

That makes him interesting for managers who want Liverpool midfield exposure but do not want to chase Gakpo's GW3 assists.
The trade-off is simple:
Wirtz = underlying involvement / lower recent points Gakpo = recent points / greater wide-rotation concern
3. Brian Brobbey — chances without returns
Brobbey has yet to score or assist despite registering attacking involvement.
Current public underlying data has him around 0.59 xG and 0.06 xA from 219 minutes.
That is not an elite sample, but it is enough to keep him on the watchlist rather than dismissing him solely because the FPL points are poor.

4. Elliot Anderson — creative numbers with a minutes caveat
Anderson has not scored or assisted yet, but his xGI is stronger than the returns.
The complication is Manchester City's depth.
He was rotated out of the Champions League starting XI against Porto, which can be positive for GW4 freshness but does not guarantee a league start.
