The short answer
An FPL league administrator can share the invitation, close a Classic league to new entries and manage eligible members through Leagues & Cups.
Some controls depend on the league type and whether the season or Cup has started.
Where to find league administration
- Log in to FPL.
- Open Leagues & Cups.
- Select the invitational league.
- Choose Administer when the option appears.
Only the league administrator sees the full controls.
Main admin actions
| Action | Official rule or limitation |
|---|---|
| Share invitation | Send the league code or auto-join link |
| Close entry | Available for Classic leagues |
| Reopen entry | Administrator can reopen a closed Classic league |
| Remove a manager | Admin controls may allow removal from an invitational league |
| Renew a Classic league | Available to last season's administrator |
| Renew a Head-to-Head league | Not available, create a new league |
| Manage Cup | Cup participation can affect leaving the league |
How to invite managers
Open the league and share either:
- The exact league code
- The auto-join link
Managers must create an FPL team before joining. Codes should be copied exactly.
How to close entry
The official FAQ says only Classic scoring leagues can be closed.
Go to:
Leagues & Cups → League → Administer → Close league to new entries
You can reopen it later if new managers need to join.
Removing managers
Use the manager controls available in the league administration area.
Before removing someone:
- Confirm the correct team
- Check whether the league or Cup is locked
- Explain the reason
- Save the current membership list
- Remember that the manager may be able to rejoin if entry remains open
Classic versus Head-to-Head
| Feature | Classic | Head-to-Head |
|---|---|---|
| Can renew next season | Yes | No |
| Can close entry | Yes | Restrictions apply |
| Can leave after schedule begins | Usually possible, subject to Cup and admin rules | No |
| Ranking method | Total points | Weekly match results |
Head-to-Head membership locks when fixtures are generated because changing teams would break the schedule.

OneFPL does not hold or distribute money. Members arrange payments directly.
OneFPL verdict
Set league rules before the first deadline, close entry when membership is final and keep the invitation private if the league is not public.
For prize leagues, record every rule clearly before competition starts.
