The short answer
The official FPL website gives managers 43 statistics to sort players by.
For transfer research, start with minutes, points per match, Form, xGI, transfers, value and Defensive Contributions, then add fixtures and team news.
Where to find the statistics
- Open Transfers or Statistics.
- Find the dropdown showing Total points.
- Open it to view the available metrics.
- Sort and filter by position, club or price.
Most useful stats
| Stat | Best use | Main trap |
|---|---|---|
| Total Points | Season performance | Rewards past points |
| Points per match | Compare different appearance totals | Small samples |
| Form | Recent FPL scoring | Can chase hauls |
| Value (season) | Points relative to price | Can overrate cheap players |
| Transfers in | Market movement | Popularity is not quality |
| xGI | Attacking involvement | Expected data is not guaranteed returns |
| DefCon | Defensive scoring route | Role can change |
What is Form?
Official FPL Form measures recent Fantasy output based on appearances over the previous 30 days.
Check whether the form came from sustainable chances, improved minutes or one unusual haul.
What is xGI?
Expected Goal Involvement combines xG and xA. It helps compare attacking involvement but is not a promise of future points.
Transfers in
Useful for identifying market trends and players worth researching. Do not automatically copy the crowd.
Defensive Contributions
The menu also helps identify players regularly earning the new defensive-contribution points once the season starts.
OneFPL workflow
- Discover a player in the official Statistics menu.
- Open OneFPL Player Lab.
- Compare alternatives.
- Check Fixtures.
- Confirm Team News.
- Test the move in the Planner.
OneFPL verdict
Use statistics to generate questions, not automatic transfers. The best decision combines data, minutes, role and fixtures.
