The short answer
There is no official rule saying top 100k or any other fixed rank is automatically good.
A better measure is percentile, because the number of managers changes between seasons. FPL now shows rank as a percentage in 2026/27.
A useful OneFPL framework
This is an editorial benchmark, not an official grading system.

Why top 100k changes meaning
If FPL has 5 million teams, top 100k means top 2%. If it has 10 million teams, top 100k means top 1%.
That is why percentage context is better.
Official 2026/27 percentile feature
FPL now shows:
- Current-season rank as a percentage
- Previous season rankings
- Career average
- Career-average percentile
On the website, open Points → Gameweek History → Previous Seasons.
Gameweek Rank is different
A great Gameweek Rank does not automatically mean a great season. Overall Rank rewards consistency across all Gameweeks.
What target should you use?
Beginner: beat your previous season or finish above average.
Improving manager: top 10% is a useful benchmark.
Competitive experienced manager: top 1% is an excellent achievement.
