What does Bench Boost do?
Bench Boost adds the points scored by all four of your substitutes to your Gameweek total.
Normally only your starting XI score unless automatic substitutions are required.
Does Bench Boost use your free transfer?
No.
Normal transfer rules continue when you play Bench Boost.
You can use your weekly free transfer, bank it, or make extra transfers for the normal points cost.
Does bench order matter on Bench Boost?
For points, all four bench players count, so the normal first-sub/second-sub priority does not determine which bench scores are included.
You should still save a valid team and captain before the deadline.
Do automatic substitutions matter?
Bench Boost already includes the points from all substitutes.
The chip's purpose is to score from the full 15-player squad rather than only relying on auto-subs.
What if a benched player does not play?
They simply score zero unless FPL later credits an appearance.
Bench Boost does not guarantee points — it only counts whatever the bench actually scores.
Can Bench Boost be cancelled?
Yes.
Bench Boost can be cancelled before the Gameweek deadline.
Can you use Wildcard and Bench Boost together?
No.
Only one chip can be active in a Gameweek.
A common strategy is Wildcard first and Bench Boost in a later Gameweek.
How many Bench Boosts do you get?
Two in 2026/27 — one in each half of the season.
